Description

Publication Design
COM 112
(3 cr.)

The objective is to study the whole task of putting a publication together: copy, art, headlines, layout and design. To that end, the class will address issues of writing, editing and artwork as well as the actual tasks of designing newspapers, newsletters, and posters. The class will explore technology appropriate to publication management and production. The approach is hands-on, using Adobe InDesign to produce designs and layouts.

Offers authentic production experience and leadership training in one or more of the campus media – radio, video, newspaper, yearbook, and web design. Required of all mass communications majors.
