Web Design I

A practical experience in the essentials of web design. An exploration of the client-producer relationship will be established. Students will be required to acquire and produce a client-based web project. Emphasis - hands-on production in Waldorf's state of the art Multimedia Lab. (Students should also enroll in the Web Design Practicum while taking this course.)

Broadcast Journalism

A practical experience in the essential techniques of writing and producing a weekly news broadcast. Each student will be responsible for producing a weekly story and fulfilling a role in the production crew. Emphasis – hands-on production in Waldorf’s state of the art WAL-TV, Channel 2 FCTI and channel 99 Media Com. (Students should enroll for the TV Practicum while taking this course.) (Prerequisite: COM 110 or consent of instructor.)

Offers authentic production experience and leadership training in one or more of the campus media – radio, video, newspaper, yearbook, and web design. Required of all mass communications majors.
